Submissions may come from incarcerated or formerly incarcerated people, family members, correctional staff, volunteers, advocates, and others with direct experience.

Confirm permission to use the story or quotation.

02 — ATTRIBUTION
Confirm how the contributor wishes to be identified.

03 — PRIVACY AND SAFETY
Remove or withhold sensitive personal, medical, legal, employment, facility, or security details when needed.

04 — FACT REVIEW
Review factual claims and identify statements requiring verification, qualification, or removal.

05 — FINAL APPROVAL
Publish only after the intended use and final version have been approved.
